ICFAI University, Raipur – Admission Modalities:
The Admission Modalities are with reference to the campus- based on UG, PG and Ph.D. Programs offered by the ICFAI University, Raipur. The medium of instruction is English.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
B. Tech: Pass in Class XII or its equivalent with 45% and aggregate marks with in each of the Mathematics.
Physics. Chemistry and English Subjects.
B. Tech.(Lateral Entry): Diploma in concerned or allied discipline with 45% and aggregate marks for lateral entry in second year of B. Tech. Program.
BBA: Pass in Class XII or its equivalent in any discipline with 40% and above aggregate marks.
BCA: Pass in Class XII or its equivalent in any discipline with XII and above aggregate marks.
BA / BA (Hons) / B.Com/ B.Com (Hons): Pass in Class XII or its equivalent with 40% and above marks (any discipline).
B.Sc / B.Sc (Hons): Pass in Class XII or equivalent with 40% and above aggregate marks.
Mathematics Stream: Mathematics. Physics. Chemistry and English as the compulsory subjects in Class XII.
B.Ed.: Pass in Graduation / Post graduation (Sciences / Social Sciences / Humanities disciplines) with 50% and above aggregate marks. Candidates applying for B.Ed Program must qualified in CG Pre-B.Ed 2024 Entrance Examination conducted by Chhattisgarh.
BA-LLB (Hons.): Pass with 50% and above aggregate marks in Class XII or equivalent in any discipline (best of the 5 subjects including of the ICFAI Law Admission Test (ILSAT 2024) or Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) and Law School Admission Test (LSAT) will be given weightage.
– Applicants should not be more than 21 years of age as on the commencement of the Semester l, i.e., August 01, 2024. However, changes if any mode to age limitation by the BCI from time to time will be followed.
LL.B (Hons): Pass in Graduation or its (in any discipline) with 50% and aggregate marks. Applicants
should not be more than 30 years as on the of the Semester l. i.e.. August 01, 2024. However. the changes if any made to age limitation by the BCI from Orne to time will followed.
MBA: Pass in Graduation or equivalent (in any discipline) with 45% and above marks.
MA (English Economics / Hindi Literature/ PubIic Administration / Yoga / Journalism & Mass Communication): Pass in Graduation or its equivalent in any discipline with 50% and aggregate marks.
MA (Education): Pass in Graduation with Education as one of the compulsory subjects with and above aggregate marks (OR) Pass in B.Ed degree with minimum of aggregate
MCA: Pass in Graduation in any discipline with and above aggregate marks.
MSc (Mathematics): Pass in B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry. Mathematics) or Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as main subject with 45% and above marks.
MSc (Physics): Pass in B.E. (Physics. Chemistry. Mathematics) or Bachelor’s degree with Physics as main subject with 45% and above aggregate marks.
MSc (Chemistry): Pass in B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Botany. Zoology & Chemistry) or Bachelor’s degree with Chemistry as main subject with 45% and above aggregate marks.
M. Tech. (CSE / ECE): Pass in BE/B.Tech in respective discipline with 50% and aggregate marks.
Ph.D. ( Full-time / Part-time): A Master’s degree or a professional degree equivalent to the Master’s degree. with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent CGPA along with UGC-NET / SLET / ICFAI University Raipur Entrance Examination as per the IJGC guidelines. A relaxation of 5% of marks. from 55% to 50%. for SC/ST/OBC,I Differently-Abled.
PGDCA: Pass in Graduation (in any discipline).
DCA: Pass in 10+2 or equivalent.
Note: Students awaiting final examinations results are also eligible.
Final year students who have not the original certificates from the Board / University by August 01 ,2024 will be admitted provisionally. Their admission will be confirmed subject to their the qualifying examination and meeting the minimum requirements as indicated above.
– The registration of the candidates not meeting the criteria by September 14, 2024 will be cancelled. In such cases. admission fee will be forfeited and only 50% of the semester fee will refunded after notifying the cancellation of the seat by the University. For the purpose of determining eligibility. based on aggregate percentage of marks for the respective program, the procedure used by the respective Board I University in award of the Certificate / will only be taken into consideration.
– All applicants should have completed a minimum of 12 years Of formal education UG programs and minimum 15 years Of formal education for PG programs by August 01 2024.
– Applicants who have completed their graduation on a one-time sitting basis or on a 2-year basis are not eligible for admission to the MBA Program.
Admission Criteria: The selection of applicants for all programs is made through application and interview. While evaluating applicants for admission. due weightage is given to academic distinction. awards in sports/cultural events, debates, quizzes and other extra cocurricular activities.
Interview: On receiving the application. applicant will be intimated about the Interview Schedule. The applicants will have to go a interview at the campus. This is to determine the applicants’ attitude and motivation to pursue the program.
Original certificates and Domicile certificate should be for verification at the time of interview. The original
certificates will be returned after verification. The admission decision will communicated after the
interview process. All the students will be required to pay the admission fee towards confirmation of seat.
Reservation: There shall be a special provision for admission Of applicants belonging to the State Of Chhattisgarh in any course of ICFAI University. Raipur, which shall not be less than 25 (twenty-five) per cent Of seats in each course/ discipline subject to the applicants meeting the minimum qualifying referred to above. Seats remaining unfilled under special reservation may filled up by the same to applicants belonging to Open Category.
How to Apply: Eligible students can apply by any one of the following methods:
A) Online Application: Applicants can apply online by filling up the Application Form available at www.iuraipur.edu.in and make payment of 500 towards the cost using Credit / Debit Card (Visa / Master Card / Net-Banking) through secure internet payment gateway. Applicants applying online should upload their passport size color photograph while filling the Online Application. The will be
sent to such applicants.
B) Download of Application Form: Applicants can fill their details online and download the Application Form from www.iuraipur.edu.in and send it to the Admissions Office along with the Demand Draft of 5m towards the cost of the application in favor of “The ICFAI University, Raipur – Fee Collection A/C” payable at Raipur.
C) Fill the Form: Applicants can fill in the application form given on Page 7 and send it to the Admissions Office.

Merit Scholarships:
The ICFAI University. Raipur (IUR) offers merit scholarships to students pursuing the UG & PG programs. These scholarships are based on past academic record and semester-wise performance.
A) Merit Scholarships based on Past Academic Record:
(l) All program including B. Tech. (Lateral Entry), B.Tech.: Percentage of marks achieved in Class XII (or
equivalent) for UG programs and graduation for PG programs will decide the amount of scholarship. Scholarship will continue semester after semester only on maintaining a minimum 6.0 GPA in the previous semester. The details are in the following table.
- Above scholarship amount would be disbursed equally in 10 semesters for BALLB (Hons). 6 semesters for B. Tech (Lateral Entry) / BBA / BA / BA (Hons) / B.Com/B.Com (Hons) B.Sc / B.Sc (Hons) / BCA/ LEB. 4 semesters for MBA/ MCA / M.Sc / M. Tech / MA and 2 semesters for DCA / PGDCA programs.
(2) Merit Scholarships for B. Tech students based on past academic record: is provided on the basis of percentage in qualifying examination. The scholarship will continue after semester only on maintaining the GPA as given below. The details are presented in the following table.
B. Semester-wise Performance: Up to 10% of the students of the batch will be awarded merit scholarships based on their Semester-wise in addition to the scholarship based on the past academic record. Details are given below.
